Bilingual ESL Educational Program

Hartman Middle School offers to Language Learner Students a Traditional Bilingual Program (TBP) and English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. The TBP is a Bilingual Program model whereby English Language Learners (ELL) receive primary language instruction for concept development while acquiring English.

The goals of the Bilingual/ESL Programs of Hartman Middle School are to: Promote fluency, literacy and academic excellence in English through Fine Arts and Technology based instruction. Increase the technology skills of students and foster an appreciation of the fine arts in students. Improve academic achievement of ELL students. Create a partnership between the educational system, the neighborhood, community and parents to ensure the academic and social success of all ELL students.
